LTG Cargo Polska purchased its first locomotive

LTG Cargo Polska, a subsidiary of LTG Cargo in Poland, purchased its first locomotive. LTG Cargo Polska also currently has 14 leased locomotives for gauge 1435 in the fleet.

The M62M model locomotive will increase capacity on non-electrified railway lines in Poland. It will be directed to the execution of transports for the Polish poultry producer “Cedrob”. The newly purchased locomotive has been renovated and, as a result, stands out with significantly better technical parameters that allow for more efficient transportation: to have a larger fuel reserve and increase the distance between refueling of the locomotive, reduce fuel consumption and have increased power. Until now, the locomotives used in the operations of LTG Cargo Polska were rented from partners in Poland. LTG Cargo Polska signed a contract with Rail Polska for the purchase of two M62M locomotives, which were also overhauled and modernized by Rail Polska. The second locomotive should reach the LTG Cargo Polska team at the end of February 2023.
