Railroad for Tomasz is not only a job, but above all a passion and love. It was his love for railroads that allowed him to meet his lifelong other half and now his wife, who is responsible for rail transportation and track machinery maintenance at the largest construction company in Poland on a daily basis.
Tomasz began his adventure with railroads while he was still a student. As an apprentice, he worked for one of the then few Polish private rail carriers, which was simultaneously opening its subsidiary in Germany. It was in these two markets that he gained his first experience as a dispatcher, then coordinator of German-speaking dispatchers and eventually dispatching manager.
Tomek started working at LTG Cargo Polska before the first in-house transports were launched. “Although it was more than 2 years ago, I remember perfectly and recall with fondness the first received wagons and locomotives and the first related trains.”
He is now mainly responsible for the implementation of international transports. He is the first line of contact for our cooperators in Germany, arranges transports with colleagues from the Lithuanian parent company, or takes care of the smooth delivery and return of goods at what is currently the most sensitive border – with Ukraine. It tries to make optimal use of its resources in constantly changing conditions.
Problems with overloaded or damaged wagons, trailers? Such a problem is not a problem! Quickly request an emergency shipment to the nearest terminal or find a company that will repair or reload on site, so that the goods can reach the customer as soon as possible.
Tomasz’s duties also include supervising the collection and proper reporting of our Company’s data to UTK, GUS and PLK, so that LTG Cargo Polska grows in strength not only “on the ground” but also in freight statistics.
When everything is counted and planned and the “fires are put out” then after work Tomasz likes to move to the virtual reality of computer games, where he builds his own transportation infrastructure and struggles with the greatest logistical challenges.
Tomasz’s other passion is traveling, to which he takes his two beloved doggies whenever possible.
