Meet Paweł – Traction Director at LTG Cargo Polska

It infects with optimism and passion, which are trains. He would never trade his job for another, because it is indeed a childhood dream come true. Both of his parents have worked their entire lives on the railways, so there is a suspicion that his passion for railways may be encoded in his genes.

On the railway, he started as a driver’s assistant – it is then that future train drivers acquire the necessary habits and experience. It was a job for the largest private freight carrier in Poland – and, as he says, a real school of life.  But working for a small carrier with German capital at the time was a great opportunity. “This experience has not only broadened my horizons, but also accelerated my career.”

Today, he heads the traction department at LTG Cargo Polska. This is a great challenge that allows you to further develop your managerial skills.

Paweł supervises the entire process related to train drivers – their recruitment, training and, of course, supervision of the day-to-day work. Together with his team of instructors, he also participates in railway commissions. His greatest asset is that he is a train driver himself, from time to time he manages to drive a little, so he perfectly understands the needs and expectations of his people.

“My advice to future train drivers is to love what they do, because it is a service for life.”
