Sławków-Kaunas is an intermodal freight train, designed to transport containers between the intermodal terminal in Kaunas, Lithuania, and the Euroterminal in Sławków, Poland.
The Sławków-Kaunas intermodal service connects Central Europe with the Baltic States.
Euroterminal Sławków is located near Katowice, where it is an important hub of the Polish broad-gauge railway network, connecting railway lines between Lithuania and Poland and Ukraine and Poland. Freight trains also run regularly to Schwarzheide in Germany, to Maddaloni in Italy, to Koper in Slovenia and to Gdansk in Poland.
Kaunas is one of the main cities of Lithuania, which opens the way to the entire region of the Baltic States. The location of the Kaunas Intermodal Terminal will open up the possibility for customers to carry out transport to Vilnius and the port of Klaipeda (by rail) and other Baltic countries.
Pruszkowski Metrans Terminal is located near the Polish capital, Warsaw, and is part of the European transport corridor connecting countries from Finland to Italy by rail. It allows to expand operations with daily connections to Germany (the port of Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Duisburg), Croatia (Rijeka) and Slovenia (Koper).
The Kaunas-Slavkov route is 740 km long and is capable of carrying up to 93 TEU per course.
