The project entitled ‘Purchase of 72 wagons for intermodal transport’, intended for intermodal transport, No. KPOD.09.09-IW.02-0018/24-00, as part of the investment: E2.1.3. Intermodal Transport, of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The aim of the project is to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of intermodal transport and to increase the use of this mode of transport in overall freight transport. The rolling stock purchased for intermodal services is primarily intended to operate on the route between Kaunas Intermodal Terminal (KIT) (Lithuania) - Duisburg (Germany). The purchase of new rolling stock will strengthen the operational capacity of LTG Cargo Polska sp. z o.o.

“LTG Cargo Polska”, a rail freight operator forming part of the LTG Group, has acquired 72 new pocket wagons for the transport of containers and semi-trailers, as well as pocket wagon semi-trailers for the transport of containers and semi-trailers.

The project “Purchase of 72 wagons for intermodal services”, intended for intermodal transport, ref. no. KPOD.09.09-IW.02-0018/24-00, as part of Investment: E2.1.3. Intermodal transport, is co-financed by the European Union in the form of state aid under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Following the completion of the tender process, LTG Cargo Polska selected a supplier with whom, on 12 September 2026, a contract was concluded for the supply of 72 brand-new wagons for intermodal transport operations.

Kolowag AD, the supplier of 72 wagons, was selected in accordance with the principles of competition, equal treatment, openness and transparency.

Delivery and acceptance of all batches of wagons are to take place by 28 February 2026.

CUPT considers reports concerning transport projects, including those under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), as well as reports regarding suspected breaches of generally applicable law or CUPT’s internal regulations and operating rules.

Reports may be made anonymously - such reports will be investigated. However, in the case of reports that are incomplete and where it is not possible to contact the person making the report to obtain further information, there is a risk that the report may not be fully investigated.

Every report is protected against disclosure to unauthorised persons. The report will be received by a designated member of staff from the Control and Audit Department. The personal details of the person making the report are protected both during and after the proceedings and those examining the report shall refrain from identifying the person who submitted the report of irregularities anonymously.

All reports will be thoroughly investigated in accordance with CUPT’s internal procedures and the provisions of applicable law.
